DRAFT · pre-launch

Privacy notice

This notice covers this website and its waitlist only. It explains what we collect when you join, why, how long we keep it, and how to have it deleted.

Draft dated October 24, 2026

Who we are

Savebucks (“we”, “us”) runs this website. You can reach us about anything in this notice at hello@savebucks.com.

What this notice covers

The Savebucks apps (web, iOS and Android) are not public yet. This notice covers only browsing this website and joining the waitlist. Before the apps launch, they will have their own privacy policy covering accounts, alerts and everything else they do.

What we collect

When you join the waitlist, we store:

Email address
Required. Stored in lower case so the same address is only on the list once.
“What deals do you hunt?”
Optional, up to 200 characters of free text. Please don't include anything sensitive.
Source
Which sign-up form you used, for example “landing”.
Time you joined
The date and time of your sign-up.

When you visit, our hosting provider processes your IP address and standard request details (such as browser type and the page requested) to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. Our sign-up function also uses your IP address briefly, in memory, to limit repeated sign-ups. We don't store your IP address with your waitlist entry.

What we don't use: this site sets no cookies and runs no analytics, advertising trackers or third-party scripts. Fonts are served from our own domain.

Why we use it

  • To invite you to private testing as it opens up.
  • To tell you when Savebucks launches.
  • To understand which kinds of deals people care about, so we build the right things first. We look at the optional answers in aggregate.

We won't send you unrelated marketing. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't share it for advertising.

Who processes it for us

  • Vercel hosts this website and runs the sign-up function.
  • Supabase hosts the database that stores the waitlist.
  • An email service provider will send testing invitations and launch news. We'll name it here before we first email the waitlist.

These providers process data on our behalf and only to provide their services. Their servers may be in the United States or other countries. We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your waitlist entry until you ask us to delete it, or until 12 months after Savebucks launches publicly, whichever comes first. Joining the waitlist does not create a Savebucks account. If you want an account at launch, you'll sign up for one yourself.

Your choices

  • Delete your email: email hello@savebucks.com from the address you signed up with, with the subject “Delete my waitlist email”. We'll delete your entry within 30 days and confirm by email.
  • See or correct what we hold: email us the same way and we'll send you a copy or fix it.
  • Stop emails: every email we send will include a one-step unsubscribe link.

Depending on where you live, for example in California, you may have additional privacy rights. We honour access and deletion requests from anyone, wherever they live.

How we protect it

The site is served only over HTTPS. The waitlist sits in a database table that the public cannot read or write; only our server-side sign-up function can add to it, using a key that never reaches your browser. No system is perfectly secure, but we keep what we collect to the minimum above.

Children

This site and the waitlist are not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child has joined, email us and we'll delete the entry.

Changes to this notice

We'll post any changes on this page and update the date at the top. If we make a significant change to how we use waitlist emails, we'll tell the waitlist by email before it takes effect.
